Green roofs



In a city like D.F., it is difficult to find a solution for the lack of gardens due to the few spaces available, the answer to help the environment are the Green Walls.
This is a project of the government of Mexico City that seeks to change the gray facades or brick of the housing units to turn them into urban green areas. The first housing unit benefited will be "La Valenciana", in the Iztapalapa delegation, where 700m2 were already placed.
In addition, the city is planning to absorb part of the pollution with Green Roofs, which will also lower the temperature of the city and avoid sudden flooding thanks to the absorption of water that will have the roofs.
It plans to implement 50 thousand square meters of Green Roofs as part of the Ecological Plan of the Head of Government of the Federal District, Marcelo Ebrard. The project will begin with the roofs of government offices, which with the amount in the city will be a good start.
